Pioneer KURO HD plasma TV
We're doing something on this, as Pioneer went to the effort of putting a really big picture of a fish on its promotional image. The pretty fish really helps distract the eye from the horribly generic black boxiness of the TV.
Although looking into a fish's eyes is not a pleasant experience. Maybe we shouldn't have done something on this.
The KUROs come in those funny plasma screen resolutions we'd better not attempt to say anything about because it'll only be wrong, plus the 42" version has a comical FOUR HDMI sockets. Has anyone in the world even used one yet?

I used a HDMI socket once. Took ages to clean it afterwards.
I used one to watch 28 Weeks Later recently. It was shit, couldn't see a fucking thing. Maybe if I'd had 4 sockets I could have stuck a lamp in there.

Must have been hell trying to find a fish that exact size to perfectly fit in the screen.
Bet there were many fish hurt in creating that image.

Is there anyone impressed with this KURO thing? Pioneer emailed me their big 'announcement', but provided no link to check out a version available or useable by me (USA customer--KURO is not yet in the US...should I be glad?). Europeans seem unimpressed. Does it look good or is it shit hype?
