Needless close up? I should say not. That is the "ejector seat knob"
(ESK) that allows you to eradicate unwanted guests for some alone time (see last pic with ESK activated).
Just look at the self congratulating smiles. That or they are having a private flatulence contest.
if I'd coughed up for one of these I'd expect to get a bird with bigger norks than the top pic, or I'd ask for my money back

In that last shot, just look at the room. It's a lovely room, fantastic room, and they've gone and fucked it up by putting that hideous humongous jacuzzi in there.
This has actually ruined my day.
