BORING CHRISTMAS PRESENT LIST ENTRY #1: A Nintendo Wii
Not to have. To sell in the new year on eBay for twice the RRP to people who've fallen for the whole thing and believe that it is good in some way. Right now, poor parents are buying second-hand £179 Wiis for £250 on eBay. It's the most staggeringly odd situation.
The problem will come on Christmas morning. Feigning excitement will be easy thanks to years of practise over jumpers and CDs we didn't even ask for - managing to keep the thing sealed and in its box to protect its resale value will be the hard part.
Sorry to go ruining the Christmas spirit, but it's all about getting back more in value that you spend on others. Wii's still the number one cash generator. A couple of these to sell is the dream. Any additional games would be a welcome bonus.

Considering this site is built on the belief that games should return to the days of blue skies and collecting things, I don't understand the contempt for the Wii. Sega fans and Nintendo fans should combine forces and rise up against the evil Nazi tyrannies of Microsoft and Sony to take back in the industry in the name of jumping on the heads of things and having adventures on magical hills.
Mario is shit. If you play Mario you're shit. Wii is also shit. Dunno why everyone has such a problem working this out.
Anonymous is clearly a dick. I'm 28 years old and spent over 10 hours yesterday playing Mario Galaxay and not only is it good, its down right IMPRESSIVE!

I feel sorry for all the kids getting Wiis for Christmas. I haven't played mine since February, and that was half an hour of Sonic and Streets of Rage.
Buy the little nippers a Mega Drive II for Christmas, you'll save at least £280.

Boo, just because there's been nothing to play on it in PAL regions (except excite truck) for nearly a year. Boo to you. Yay to Super Mario Galaxy. Yay to the Gusty Gardens Galaxy for creating a sonic-esque garden of eden.

if people wanna spend stupid money on them just to stop their kids knifing them in their sleep (they do things like that nowadays), then i feel it's my duty to provide them with the means to a peaceful night's rest.
