Despite what you may have read in, say, newspapers and seen on, say, the television, the people of the UK didn't go mad for iPhone. They didn't queue. There wasn't a frenzy. Reports of frenzies were prepared in advance by people too SCARED of the TRUTH.

I walked past an O2 shop on Oxford street on Saturday. There were more staff than shoppers inside as well as a small group of staff standing outside shouting about having the new iPhone.
No-one was listening.
It's not that I don't like the iPhone, I just don't like the hype, I felt a little smug inside.
There was about 30 people outside the Manchester Arndale Apple Store at about 4:30pm on Friday - and Apple had blocked off the shutters with black cloth - morons.
