It may say you don't need to use Aerolatte batteries, but wouldn't there be the continual nagging doubt that somewhow your milk wasn't quite as frothy as it once was? That tiny little voice at the back of your mind constantly reminding you of your battery faux pas, until the day you finally snap and are found by the police three days later lying naked and shaking next to a milk frother containing the blood and brain tissue of your wife and two children.
Or maybe it actually doesn't matter.
I killed my girlfriend over battery voices. The battery haunted me in my dream afterwards, dressed in lingerie and accompanied by confusing subtexts.
