USER GUIDE: How to tell a REAL Duracell from a FAKE Duracell
We recently came into possession of two FAKE Duracell batteries. The batteries were bought new, but, when it came to insertion time, they didn't power the device they were supposed to power.
Because they were FAKE and not as long as they should be. The useless fakes wouldn't connect between the terminals, as there's over one millimetre in size difference between a genuine 'Cell (left) and the two fakes. They also felt a bit lighter.
You can see how the printing on "PLUS" is out of alignment as well, and the batteries are covered in flimsy plastic rather than the usual Duracell high-impact Kevlar finish. Take a ruler and magnifying glass out with you, when next buying batteries.
